The time has finally arrived! Mortimer Family Farms Pumpkins and fall decorations are ready! Bring your family to our pumpkin patch and enjoy a day on the farm! It has been so fun to grow pumpkins of all shapes & sizes, corn stalks, Indian corn, straw bales, gourds, and other fun fall items for you to display in your homes. Our Pumpkin Festival is open every weekend in October with hay rides, barrel train rides, Freedom Station bounce activities, Farm Animal Kingdom, music, crafts, food vendors and more! We will also have special weekend events including: October 15-16 Tractor Pull, October 22-23 Pumpkin Decorating, October 29-30 Trick-or-Treating & Costume Competition! Admission is Free!
We also have had a great time getting to know the children in our local schools as they come for field trips to learn about agriculture! It is wonderful to meet these kids - many of whom have never been on a farm - and see their excitement! They love the to see the animals and how plants grow! We take them on a hay ride and show them how important water and soils are to farmers! Of course the kids leave with a pumpkin of their very own...to brag to their siblings about...and what kid doesn't love that? If your school is interested call 928-830-1116 today and reserve your day at the farm!
Thank you all and we will see you soon!
Mortimer Family Farms, a popular Prescott area attraction formerly known as Young's Farm is bringing back the rich farming history of Dewey-Humboldt. Made famous for our Sweet Summer Corn, we also grow a variety of other seasonal vegetables on our 300 acre farm made available in our Farm Store. Our onsite nursery also has trees, shrubs, flowers, landscape materials and gardening supplies available for all your landscaping needs.
